Accessibility

5 Marchaunt's Place - in Norwich city centre - was built in the 18th century and is part of a grade 2 listed building which was renovated in 2019. Today it provides stylish, self-catering accommodation.

There are accessibility features of the property that guests should be aware of and consider for suitability before choosing to book or visit.  Smokers - please note that we ask you to smoke outside not inside.  Sorry, it's a general 'no' to pets, alas.

Also do note that access is prevented to several kitchen cupboards, 1 bedroom cupboard + the cellar.

ACCESS BY STEPS

  • There is no level access into the house.

  • There are a number of steps into the courtyard from the car park space en route to the main front door.

  • The main front door is accessed by one step.

  • There is an alternative entrance for emergency use onto the street with one step into our house.

CHILDREN

  • There are no stair gates or high chairs or cots in the property.

  • There is access to some cleaning materials in cupboards not suitable for children to handle and also delicate furnishings.

  • We therefore unfortunately feel the property is not suitable for under 12 year old guests.

PARKING

  • We provide free parking for one vehicle in our shared driveway which is on an incline.

  • The parking space must be accessed slowly and with care as the driveway narrows at one point between a neighbour's house and a low brick wall.

  • Reversing into the parking space is recommended for safe exit to the street.

  • There are up to 6 Blue badge on-street parking bays on All Saints Green adjacent to John Lewis

WC & SHOWERS

  • There is a shower room with WC on the ground floor.

  • There are two en-suite shower rooms both with WC on the first floor.

BEDROOMS

  • Bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms are located on the 1st floor and are accessed by narrow stairs.

VISUAL & HEARING

  • Doors to the outside of the house have high contrast to the walls.

Also:

  • Take care when it's dark whilst using outside steps nearen area.

  • A torch is available inside the entrance/hallway.

  • TVs may be switched to show subtitles.

ASSISTANCE

  • The owners (Jane and Roger) are on 01279 876661 but live 90 miles from the house and cannot provide on-site or immediate assistance. Please therefore call the letting agency LRPM on 01603 904600.
